WK #21 - Congratulations Alex! A senior at Clover Hill, Alex is a member of the National Honor Society, the National Latin Honor Society, and is a National Latin Exam Gold Medalist.
As a year round competitive swimmer for Quest swimming, he earned 1st place at the Virginia Senior Championships in the 100 backstroke, and is currently ranked 3rd in the state in the 200 yard individual medley, 4th in the 100 yard backstroke, 6th in the 200 yard backstroke, and is 16th nationally for 17 year-olds in the 100 yard backstroke.
Alex volunteers his time with the Virginia Special Olympics, the Autism Society of Virginia, and Freedom House.
As a finalist, Alex has received dinner for two, and an opportunity to compete for a $10,000 scholarship.
