A senior at Collegiate School, West has a 3.97 GPA, and has a combined SAT score of 2220. He is a National Merit Commended Student as well as a National AP Scholar with honor.
As the Collegiate varsity swimming captain, West is a State Record Holder in the 200m Relay, a 6-time All Prep League swimmer, a 3-time VSIS All-State swimmer, and a member of the NCSA National Championship team. West spends his time in the community volunteering as an instructor for Youth Life Foundation of Richmond and Special Olympics.
West has committed to swim for Yale in the fall.
As a finalist, West has received dinner for two, and an opportunity to compete for a $10,000 scholarship.
