Jillian Butler, Week 9 Nominee

Congratulations Jillian Butler of Clover Hill High School, Lexus of Richmond's Leadership Award Week 9 Nominee!

Jillian is currently ranked in the top 1% of her class with a 4.8 GPA. During sophomore year, Jillian was named the French Student of the Year and the Math/Science Exemplary Student of the Year. During her junior year, she received the honor of AP Biology Student of the Year and was inducted into the National Honor Society.

Jillian is currently the team captain on the Clover Hill Swim Team and has received the the Coaches Award for Leadership. She also swims for Poseidon and Woodland Pond Swim Team. For Woodland, she is the team record holder in the 50 free, 50 breast and 100 IM, and the league record holder in the 50 breaststroke. Jillian has also played for Clover Hill’s varsity soccer team all 4 years of school where she has accumulated multiple awards. She also attended Girls State in 11th grade and is a member of the school’s French Club and Key Club. During 9th and 10th grade she participated in VCU’s Medical Career Explorers.

Jillian has also spent time volunteering for Special Olympics of Virginia for their swim meets for all four years of high school, and has also volunteered as a coach for the Woodland Pond Swim Team. Jillian has been a school tutor throughout high school and has also spent time with the Children’s Hospital of Richmond, March of Dimes and the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen.

Jillian is now in the running for the $10,000 scholarship.
